PROCESS PHOTOS | In making this guide, I wanted to go in a playful and fun direction that would capture the lively summer spirit of Athens through bright colors and eccentric layouts. First, I decided to illustrate headshots of our journalists for our "meet the team" page as an alternative to our traditional photo headshots. Second, I wanted the design to interact with the food writing and photography for our feature pages. For Build-a-Picnic, I arranged, photographed, and edited locally sourced business products to create a frame around the spread. And for Tea Time, I wanted to do a layout inspired by the dishware the restaurant we featured used, and incorporated a floral pattern.
